Summit Air Pvt. Ltd (formerly known as Goma Air) started its operation on 24 February 2011 with two Cessna Grand Caravan 208B aircraft from Surkhet base. The airline today owns 4 LET L410 UVP-E20 STOL (Short Takeoff and Landing) aircraft and conducts scheduled as well as charter flights to various remote regions of Nepal from its base at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu.

The airline received the first Let L410 UVP-E20 aircraft in October 2014 which was the first aircraft of this type in the Nepali aviation industry. Summit Air also uses Nepalgunj Airport as its hub and focuses on operating out of that base.

The airline operates scheduled and charter flights to STOL airfields across the country including Bajura, Birendranagar, Dolpa, Jumla, Lukla, Manthali, Phaplu, Rara, Sanphebagar, Taplejung, and Tumlingtar.
