Yeti Airlines Pvt. Ltd initiated its commercial flight in September 1998 with a Canadian build Twin Otter DHC-6-300 aircraft. The airline also introduced German manufactured Dornier DO-228 aircraft for STOL operations. After rebranding its remote operation to sister company Tara Air, Yeti became the largest domestic airline operator with BAe Jetstream 41 and ATR 72-500 aircraft.
In 2009, the sister airline Tara Air was introduced to take responsibility for Short Take-Off and Landing (STOL) operations with the DHC6-300 and Dornier DO228 aircraft. Yeti Airlines used to operate five Jetstream 41 twin-turboprop aircraft but now operates with five ATR 72-500 flying on trunk route sectors of Nepal.
The five J41 aircraft of Yeti Airlines has been bought by Guna Airlines.

Yeti Airlines Flight Status
The airline conducts scheduled flights to non-STOL destinations across the country including Bhairahawa, Pokhara, Janakpur, Bharatpur, Nepalgunj, Tumlingtar, Bhadrapur, and Biratnagar. Besides, it also operates weekly Everest Experience and Annapurna Experience mountain flights from its base at Tribhuvan International Airport.
