Himalaya Airlines, China joint venture is an international air carrier based in Kathmandu, Nepal. It was established in August 2014 starting with one aircraft (Airbus A320) and one destination (Doha, Qatar).
The airline conducted its first flight to Doha, Qatar on May 31, 2016, and expanded its destination to other countries including UAE, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, and China. The current flight destination of H9 is Abu Dhabi, Dammam, Doha, Dhaka, Kuala Lumpur, Beijing, and Chongqing.
Himalaya Airlines is the first and the only airline connecting Nepal to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with its historical connectivity to Dammam & currently is the only Nepali Airline operating flights to various prominent cities of China.

The success of Himalaya Airlines Nepal
Himalaya Airlines H9 received an international award titled “Leading New International Airlines in South Asia” at the South Asian Travel Awards (SATA) 2017. H9 also received ISO 9001:2015 for Quality Management Systems (QMS) certification in August 2020.
